DuBois, PA, October 7, 2015- Today a local Non-Profit organization sets to break ground for a new building project. AmServ Ltd. / DeSan Ambulance is proud to announce that after 36 years of continued community service they will begin the construction of a new ambulance station. This new facility will be approximately 7,700 square feet and will house then vehicles, crew quarters, a large training center and their offices. The new construction will be able to meet the needs of the growing ambulance service and help them better serve the community. The addition of the training center will allow AmServ Ltd. to hold more community educational seminars such as CPR classes, illness awareness and prevention along with child safety programs.
We are very excited, after 36 years of community service it’s nice to see that we are growing and a new facility is long overdue, says Michael Federici General Manager.
The new building site will be located next to Timberland Federal Credit Union on Beaver Drive in DuBois. It will give the service ample of parking space for both staff and customers. The garage space will have the ability to house ten units. This is some much needed new space for the ambulance services.
The service has grown substantially over the past few years. This new facility will overcome some of the growing pains and move AmServ Ltd. / DuSan Ambulance into the future, says Steve Davis Board of Directors President.
AmServ Ltd. / DuSan Ambulance is local 501©3 Non-Profit community ambulance service. It was founded in 1979 and started out as a small volunteer company. Today AmServ has grown to have a paid staff of 44 employees and is staffed 24/7 to provide both Emergency and Non-Emergency services to the citizens of DuBois and Sandy Township. The service offers Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support treatment of the sick and injured and also provides Paramedic services to the surrounding communities that offer Basic Life Support services to their communities. AmServ Ltd. also offers wheel chair van and stretcher van services to customers who do not require medical monitoring.

Today we took Interceptor 43 to the new building site to check the site’s progress. We were excited see (and to get a few action shots) of heavy equipment laying and crushing shale. Our foundation is under construction, and we couldn’t be more excited.
